Founded in 1997, the MCPC is dedicated to advancing mobile computing technologies and promoting their widespread adoption. The organization also works to ensure the healthy growth of the broader industrial ecosystem. Today, MCPC counts roughly 160 member organizations, including mobile network operators, IT firms, hardware manufacturers, system integrators, and academic institutions.
As one of Japan’s most authoritative industry alliances in mobile and wireless communications, MCPC exerts strong influence in areas such as mobile work solutions, enterprise security, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Its standards and guidelines are widely adopted by both the Japanese government and major corporations.
