Salom attended PCIM in Nuremburg, Germany again from May 6-8th 2025.
This year, the show was apparently extended over an extra exhibition hall, so 41,500 m² of exhibition space vs 38,000 m² in 2024, although exhibitor numbers were largely the same. Spreading out the exhibition areas gave the impression of fewer visitors which was indeed the case with ‘around 16,500 visitors’ this year vs ‘over 18,000 visitors’ in 2024. On discussion with many suppliers and distributors at the show, customers have travel restrictions in place for cost saving and it can only be assumed that this is due to the business uncertainly associated with current geo-politics.
Salom exhibited on the Avnet-Silica stand in one of the main halls, running a video on a large display as well as having a smaller local demonstration.
The Iontra demo with the supporting video was effective in communicating the key messaging and we had several good customer discussions and leads as well as key supplier meetings with Avnet-Silica, Innoscience, Navitas and Nexperia amongst others.
This was also a great opportunity for Salom COO-Kiff Wang to meet the Iontra team in person to emphasizes Salom commitment to continue to support and drive the Iontra engagement.
Finally, Avnet-Silica arranged for a videographer to do a short recording of the Salom-Iontra team discussing our respective businesses and the demo. Avnet arranged all video editing published this on their Linked In PCIM feed during the event;
Avnet-Silica also arranged for a PR Agency to conduct a short video on the demo for Electronic Design, so further PR should follow.
In summary, a good show to continue building the Salom-Avnet Silica relationship, identify new business opportunities through the Salom-Iontra engagement and further raise the Salom profile setting a good foundation for continued future growth.
